{"id":137,"date":"2016-08-20T18:39:00","date_gmt":"2016-08-20T18:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.coolsociology.net\/SOAN390\/?page_id=137"},"modified":"2016-08-20T19:47:00","modified_gmt":"2016-08-20T19:47:00","slug":"final-exam","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/soan390.mcguire-spickard.com\/?page_id=137","title":{"rendered":"Final Exam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This will be an in-class essay exam\u2014one that asks you to synthesize your reading over the entire semester.\u00a0 It will be both historical and comparative.\u00a0 I shall ask you to relate each of these theorists to their historical circumstances, to their intellectual milieux, and to the social changes that they tried to understand.\u00a0 I shall also ask you to compare the theorists that we have studied, showing the differences and similarities of their approaches.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The exam is a closed book exam. You may bring one 5&#215;8 card with notes to the exam room.\u00a0 <em>(Yes, you may use both sides of the card.\u00a0 You may even print on the edges, if you wish.\u00a0 You may bring a magnifying glass, if you need one.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>The exam will be taken during the regularly scheduled final exam period.
